La  Maison du Blues Numerique is a former farm with some lovely stone barns attached  in a hamlet near Saint-Sornin-Leulac in the Haute Vienne which had been empty for up to six years and was in desperate need of modernisation and TLC.

After viewing some 60 properties and looking at countless others on the internet, we knew almost as soon as we drove into the  former farmyard in front of the house that this was the one!  In February 2008 we became the proud owners and moved in on 11th June 2008.

Over a period of  eight months , (original programme eight weeks!) extensive works were carried out to modernise, repair and  extend  the property, all the time trying to retain as much of the original character and as many of the original features as possible. 

Just before Christmas 2008, the company carrying out these works ceased trading but fortunately for us, the works were very close to  conclusion  although we still had a lot of decorating to do as well as much to do to create a garden.

Since we arrived here, we have been gradually putting our imprint on the place and much work has been done internally and externally as you will find out reading our blogs.
